Naomi Osaka wins US Open
On Saturday, Naomi Osaka won the women's final of the U.S. Open. She beat Serena Williams, who was trying to equal Margaret Court's all-time grand slam record. Naomi is the first female Japanese player to win a Grand Slam! Doing this at the age of 20 is an amazing accomplishment.
Osaka has frequently described Williams, the winner of 23 Grand Slams, as her idol and inspiration.
We are lucky to have Naomi train with us frequently at Evert Tennis Academy. She is an amazing talent with great personality and a bright future. We are so proud of Naomi!
