Amazing August for Our ETA Students at the USTA Hard Court Nationals!

Our Evert Tennis Academy students had a strong showing this August. During the past week, Evert girls competed in the USTA Hard Court National Championships in various age divisions in Rome, GA and San Diego, CA. At the USTA Girls 14’s Nationals in Rome, GA, Elaine Chervinsky won the Bronze Ball in the Singles Main Draw. After falling to Robin Montgomery in the semifinals, Elaine defeated Katja Wiersholm 6-2 6-0, and claimed third place. Evert Tennis Academy Students Had a Successful Tournament Weekend

Evert Tennis Academy Students competed this weekend in two local USTA Florida Tournaments in Delray Beach (Hustle, Hit & Never Quit Level 7 – 12s & 14s) and Boca Raton (Fall Classic Level 7 Jr Championship – 16s & 18s). After a great weather on Saturday and Sunday, Monday afternoon was filled with heavy rains which postponed the finals of the Hustle, Hit & Never Quit Level 7 and Fall Classic Level 7 Jr Championship pushing the finals to Tuesday afternoon. ETA Students are Ready to Compete!

Evert Tennis Academy Student have been training hard for their upcoming tournament this weekend. The last few weeks were marked by double fitness, mental coaching and a lot of live-ball training sessions to ensure the students are ready for this weekends’ tournament. The ITF tournament Copa Coqui in Puerto Rico, and The Hustle Hit & Never Quit Level 7 USTA-tournament in Delray Beach will be providing our students a stage to show their hard work and to start competing! Success at Home and Away!

ETA students, Thomas Guy (NZL) and Zak Talic (AUS) returned from Panama Bowl 2016 carrying Championship trophies for the Boys’ Doubles Tournament. Guy and Talic, who were unseeded in the event, defeated the No. 4 seeds Juan Ignacio Batalla Diez (MEX) and Fletcher Scott (USA) 6-3, 6-2 in the Final. Meanwhile in Sunny SoFlo! What a Weekend From ETA Students!

What a Weekend from ETA Students! ETA students travelled a little further afield this past weekend to participate in USTA Florida Tournaments in Hollywood (BMW David Park Championships - 12s & 14s) and Miami (Tropical Park Championships – 16s & 18s). The 6:00a.m. warm-ups and long drives did not affect their outstanding play. In the 14s Division, unseeded Asya Sinitsyna claimed the girls’ singles title and No. 3 seed, Mark Slavkin captured the boys’ trophy.
